How common are they for you? In the early days of Odyssey i got 4 (3 small batteries, 1 medium). Not too exciting but better then nothing. But for the last 2-3 weeks i didn't get a single one even tho i cargo scan most data sites that i come across. I guess it's because everyone has the same attitude, just scanning the sites but not running them anymore due to lack of decent loot so way less new ones spawn with potential for a bpc.
I only run sites in nullsec. Any nullsec explorers having more luck? How is the situation in low sec and hisec? |

In which security space do you explore? I don't run the data sites anymore because it's hurting my isk/h. The time it takes to hack containers only to get some cheap decryptors and bulky loot which i have to jettison i could be in the next system already finding a science outpost or crystal quarry. Only scan the data sites because i'm stubborn and haven't given up yet on finding a faction tower bpc. |

Faction BPC is the "jackpot" element of it, just like when you get the best overseer in WC or when you drop those highly-priced modules at the end of those combat site.
It dosen't happen often, but when it does, you are really happy about it. Exploration is, always were and will always be luck-based for the loot. Be happy than in hacking, you can know from the start of the site if you gonna get the jackpot or not.
I get this. Just wondering if anyone else noticed a decline due to how people have adopted to treat these sites after the decryptor crash. And wheter the faction bpc's are more common in low, high because i assume more ppl there still run the sites due to population density.
When Odyssey 1.0 was released sites despawned immediately so the ones you found always were fresh. Now it takes a while for despawn if anyone hacked a container at all. I suspect this has a negative effect on finding faction bpc's. |
